Shouting “Go Go Misha” and “No to a bloody government,” thousands of protesters began converging on Tbilisi’s Parliament building around 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, April 9.

Protesters came from four different directions for the protest, organized by more than a dozen opposition groups with the demand that President Mikheil Saakashvili resign.

“Misha, you were proud when your supports were coming, but now people are telling you to go away,” said Shalva Ogbaidze, an opposition supporter.
