Protestors Blockade President’s Compound Overnight; More Protests Planned Today

Hundreds of protesters, including several key opposition leaders, spent the night in front of President Mikheil Saakashvili’s residence/office compound in Tbilisi’s Avlabari neighborhood Monday, blockading in about 70 presidential staffers until early Tuesday morning. Tents, mini jail cells and a “tie wishing tree” are on the docket for Tuesday’s protests.
